The Miami Dolphins signed free agent offensive guard Damion Cook to a 1 year deal.

Cook started the final 6 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2004. He was waived by the Baltimore Ravens after playing in their first 9 games last year.

The 6'5", 330 lbs. Cook turns 26 on 4/16/05. The Bethune-Cookman product broke into the league with the Chicago Bears in 2001 and was briefly on the Dolphins' practice squad in 2002.

The team also announced the release of wide receiver James Newson.
