The Miami Dolphins signed free agent cornerback Mario Edwards to a 1 year contract. The 29 year-old Edwards played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004. He was released by the Bucs in the offseason.

He began his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 1999 after playing in college for Florida State University. Edwards has 179 tackles and 4 interceptions in 73 career contests over 6 seasons.
