Dolphins ‘05 season schedule announced

The Miami Dolphins 2005 regular season schedule was finally released Wednesday. The Fins open the season at home September 11 against the Denver Broncos and end at the New England Patriots on January 1, 2006.

The New Year's Day season-ender is their only cold-weather game after November. That game also marks the only division opponent the Dolphins have to play on the road after October 9. Miami does host the hated New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills in December.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins do not play a night game this year. Even though they do play the Tennessee Titans on Saturday December 24, most of the games that weekend will be played on Christmas Eve.

According to NFL regulations, the team's interconference games will be against the NFC South division this year. Their league-mandated bye week comes relatively early in the season on October 2.

Home games against non-division foes include the season opener against the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, and the Tennessee Titans.
