The Miami Dolphins have selected running back Ronnie Brown from the Auburn University. He is the second overall pick in the 2005 draft.

Ronnie Brown played four years at Auburn. He shared snaps in the back field with fellow running back Carnell Williams. Brown, who is 6'1'' and 233 lbs, is known for his combination of size, speed, punishing running style, and soft hands. He is also an excellent blocker out of the backfield.

Many fans and experts expected the Dolphins to select Braylon Edwards or trade down for more picks. In the end, Nick Saban selected the player who filled one of our biggest holes on offense as well as a player who Saban coached against on numerous occasions.

Good move Mr. Saban!
