The Miami Dolphins continued to acquire draft-eligible players after the conclusion of the 2005 NFL Draft. Those signed include Brock Berlin, Kay-Jay Harris, Josh Davis and Lionel Turner.

Former University of Miami starter Brock Berlin. The ex-Hurricane signed a 2 year deal to compete for the third and final quarterback spot on the roster.

Berlin threw 34 touchdowns and 31 interceptions in his somewhat-disappointing career, which began at UF and ended at UM.

West Virginia running back Kay-Jay Harris also signed agreed to a 2 year contract. The native of Tampa Bay, Florida was projected to be drafted in the middle rounds of the draft.

Harris opened the 2004 season with a spectacular 337 yards and 4 TDs on 25 carries against East Carolina, shattering Edgerrin James' Big East record of 299 rushing yards in a game. After suffering several nagging injuries, Kay-Jay finished the year for the Mountaineers with 165 attempts for 959 yards and 10 TDs to go with 20 catches for 181 yards and 3 TDs. His running style reminds some of Corey Dillon and also excels on both sides of special teams.

The team also signed Marshall wide receiver Josh Davis and LSU linebacker Lionel Turner.

Thanks to the Thundering Herd's spread offense, Davis was able to become second-most prolific pass catcher in NCAA history with 306 receptions. Ironically, Purdue's Taylor Stubblefield (the all-time leader in Division I-A) also went undrafted.

Under head coach Nick Saban, Turner started at middle linebacker the last 2 seasons. He previously had played at outside LB for the LSU Tigers. He ended his collegiate career with 37 consecutive starts.

The team plans to hold a 3 day minicamp for rookies. This weekend's practice session is officially closed to the public.
