Randy McMichael may not be a perfect man, but at least he is not a punk who would consider holding out in the middle of a contract. At least that's what he told reporters when asked about his contract situation.

McMichael, who is coming off a Pro Bowl caliber year, is entering into the last year of his rookie contract. He has expressed hope in getting an extension, but says that he would not take the low road that players like Terrell Owens and Javon Walker have chosen to take.

When asked about whether or not he would consider holding out until he got a contract extension, Randy McMichael responded by saying "What is that going to prove to anybody by holding out?" McMichael said. "I love playing this game. I don't want to be away from it. That's not even in the back of my mind at all."

I understand the cut throat "business is business" nature of the NFL, but the fact remains that Terrell Owens and Javon Walker decided to punk out their teammates and their organization by holding out for more money while still in the middle of a contract that they agreed upon in the first place. Luckily for the Miami Dolphins, their star tight end doesn't share those punkish sentiments.
