Ty Law has confirmed that he is indeed looking for a long term contract and a top notch salary, two things that the Miami Dolphins are not looking to do. If the Dolphins wanted to pay a lot of money and offer a longterm contract for a veteran cornerback, they would have simply kept Patrick Surtain.

Law was in town last week visiting with the Miami Dolphins. Through his agent, Carl Poston, he expressed his desire to sign a long-term deal with a pay structure similar to what the elite NFL cornerbacks receive. This is simply unrealistic for a player who is coming off a serious injury that forced him to miss most of last season.

I am fairly sure that the Miami Dolphins will opt to pass over Ty Law. They have several young cornerbacks who can compete for the starting cornerback spot, and they are not looking to sign expensive, aging, and injured veterans.
