After being passed over for the job last year, Randy Mueller has been hired as the new general manager for the Miami Dolphins. Randy Mueller was rumored to be a front runner for the post last year, when Wayne Huizinga announced that Miami Dolphins would hire a GM for the first time in their history, but was eventually passed over (Huizinga selected Rick Spielman instead). One of Mueller's biggest proponents was local radio personality and national ESPN analyst Hank Goldberg, who constantly touted him on his afternoon radio show.

Randy Mueller spent his first 17 years with the Seattle Seahawks. He then went to the New Orleans Saints for the 2000 and 2001 season where he helped the team win an NFC West divisional crown and their first ever playoff victory. He has spent the last three seasons as an analyst for ESPN.
