The Miami Dolphins added another veteran player to the offensive line when they signed 30 year-old G Frank Middleton today. The 6-3, 330 pound guard, played in seven games last season for the Oakland Raiders. Middleton, who was drafted in the third round in 1997 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, played his first four seasons with the Bucs and the last four with the Raiders.

The Miami Dolphins were looking to add depth to an already depleted offensive line after losing backup center Wade Smith on Monday and having numerous other players out with injuries. The Dolphins had already signed free-agent center Alonzo Ephraim on Tuesday.

To make room on the roster for Frank Middleton, the Dolphins released wide receiver Ronald Bellamy.
