The ageless wonder that is Junior Seau finally hit the practice field for the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday. The 36 year-old linebacker has been sidelined since the start of training camp with a strained calf. He has been limited to riding a stationary bicycle on the fringe of the practice field watching his teammates train for the upcoming season.

Junior Seau, though clearly showing signs of aging, is still expected to be a starting linebacker for the Miami Dolphins this year. He has expressed frustration with this most recent bout of injury trouble, noting that he was hoping to come into this season injury free after missing the last eight games of the 2004 season with a torn pectoral muscle. He seems to be coming along fine now. He was even able to participate in a full-pads workout with the team.

Junior Seau has been a steady presence for the Miami Dolphins since joining the team two seasons ago. He has collected 153 tackles and four sacks in 18 games and has added veteran leadership to the Dolphins locker room.
