Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban told the media on Monday that at this point Gus Frerotte has the inside edge on A.J. Feeley. He went on to say that Frerotte will get the start against Pittsburgh this weekend and should receive most of the first team repetitions in practice this week.

However, Saban also asserted that the quarterback competition is by no means over. He would like to see A.J. Feeley get a little bit more comfortable with the first team offense and possibly get a few more first team repetitions before making a decision either way.

If this past weekend's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars was indicative of anything it was that both Gus Frerotte and A.J. Feeley are not top flight starting NFL quarterbacks at this point. Frerotte went 6 of 14 for a measly 51 yards and missed the mark on several relatively easy passes. Feeley looked completely out of sync, going 5 of 14 for 60 yards and an interception.
