Dana Hills High (Dana Point, Calif.) quarterback Sean Schroeder gave his commitment to Duke on Sunday for the ’09 class.

Rated by Rivals as a three-star pro-style quarterback, the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder chose Durham over West Coast schools such as Oregon State, San Diego State, USC, Stanford, UCLA and Cal. Kurt Roper is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: Schroeder’s Sunday commitment comes the same day Duke gets a verbal from dual-threat quarterback Corey Gattis. It appears coach David Cutcliffe is stocking up on his brand of quarterbacks.
