Eagles’ Sheppard reports to camp

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard reported to a mandatory minicamp Friday night, ending speculation that he might hold out.

Commentary: Most thought that when the Eagles signed former New England Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel in March, two-time Pro Bowler Sheppard would be sent elsewhere. But the right deal hasn’t shown its face to the team yet.

“We all know the situation at hand,” Sheppard said to reporters on Friday. “It still stands unresolved, but I’m here. I’m here to practice and that’s what I’m focused on right now. That’s pretty much it.”
