I was just killing time waiting for Sunday when I got to idly wondering about the San Francisco 49ers-Philadelphia Eagles game...

I wonder which Eagles team will show up - the one that humiliated opponents by a score of 48-17 in the first seven quarters of the year, or the one outscored 23-0 in the last quarter-and-a-half.

I wonder if the Eagles should just run the no-huddle more often, say the first three quarters of the game.

I wonder if Brian Westbrook will play. I wonder how many times he'll carry the ball. I wonder how effective he will be. (And I'm guessing yes, not too many and not too much.)

I wonder if the would-be playoff contending Eagles and leader Donovan McNabb realize how much they need to win this game. And I wonder what the heck the NFC East is going to look like in two weeks.

I wonder if we'll see a sack in this game. The 49ers have given up one sack; the Eagles, two.

I wonder how many sacks we'll see. The 49ers have run up nine, the Eagles, 13, including an inexplicable eight against in the loss to the New York Giants. (And I'm still wondering how the Eagles lost that game at all.)

I wonder if the Eagles really do have the best offense in the game - they're ranked No. 1 right now.

I wonder how much the Eagles will miss Jevon Kearse, and then I stop wondering because the silver-and-green was weak against the pass with the Freak on the field.

I'm wondering how good Alex Smith really is. And Frank Gore. And I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I figure the scoreboard will be working double-time in this one. Take the over. I wonder what it is ... I wonder how much I could take out of the account and parlay without the wife noticing.

I wonder if I should predict the score ... ah, of course I will. Eagles 35, 49ers 27.

Wonder no longer about the Philadelphia Eagles at RealFootball365.com.
