The NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association have ruled that the Philadelphia Eagles have to forfeit one week of their off-season program starting Monday, May 16. The NFLPA issued a complaint against the Eagles concerning violations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement's off-season workout rules.

Eagles players will not be allowed at the team's facility for the week, but will be paid for the sessions. The club cannot reschedule the cancelled week. Eagles players can resume off-season workouts the following Monday, May 23.

NFL Executive Vice President Harold Henderson and Players Association Executive Director Gene Upshaw determined that the Eagles violated rules regarding the scheduling of on-field activities.
