Disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver Terrell Owens will not be allowed to participate in the Sacramento Kings' summer-league camp next week because Philadelphia management has refused to grant him permission.

Owens, who skipped all of the Eagles' voluntary and mandatory workouts, has been vocal about his unhappiness with his current 7 year contract, which he inked last season upon joining the Philadelphia Eagles after being acquired from The San Francisco 49ers. Eagles President Joe Banner was quoted Friday as saying that he hasn't been approached by the NBA Franchise about the possibility of Owens joining their camp, but if he were, he'd say no.

This isn't the first time that Terrell Owens has wanted to pursue a Professional Basketball career. Owens was a 6'3 backup shooting guard at Tennessee-Chattanooga University. In 2002, while with the 49ers, he played briefly for the Adirondack Wildcats of the USBL. He returned to the 49ers that fall.

The Eagles have recently been rumored to be talking to the Oakland Raiders about a possible trade that would send Owens to the Raiders for another star Wide Receiver, Jerry Porter. But, that is highly unlikely since Porter just signed an extension with the club. The Raiders would have to take a huge salary cap hit to make that deal. An Eagles spokesperson laughed off the trade rumors.

Philadelphia's star QB Donovan McNabb has been quoted as saying the Philadelphia Eagles can win the franchise's first ever Super Bowl in 2005, even without Terrell Owens. Philly management has already voiced a willingness to let Owens sit if necessary.
