The Atlanta Falcons have waived wide receiver Peerless Price after just two seasons. Price came over from the Buffalo Bills after a breakout season in 2002. He was expected to be Michael Vick's first option in the passing attack. Instead, Price battled through injuries and lack of on-field production. He had been relegated to a backup role this preseason.

According to reports, Price was informed of the decision before practice this morning. He then reportedly sped off from the Atlanta Falcons training facility in his car.

In two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons Peerless Price caught 109 passes for 1,413 yards and just six touchdowns. Before coming over to the Falcons, Price caught 94 passes for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns with the Bills in the 02' season.
