Falcons fans won't take their team getting called out on the carpet.

Spurred on by a blog written by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Mark Bradley in Sunday's edition, Falcons fans are sounding off mightily about the Sporting News' Pro Football Yearbook and its prediction of a 1-15 finish for Atlanta.

The yearbook was recently released to the media (likely to drum up this kind of reaction), and it will be available to fans prior to the start of the preseason.

The Talk About the Falcons section of the Falcons Life forum is providing reasons Atlanta will not only avoid the league's fourth 1-15 season since the schedule expanded to 16 games, but it takes a shot or two at other teams (or just the Dolphins) that have more to prove than the Falcons in 2008.

"There are a couple of less talented teams. What have the Dolphins done to change their perception? As it sits right now they are the team that needs to show they are more than a 1 win team."

A forum wouldn't be complete without the so-called troll. After refuting the notion of an 8-8 season, one poster bashed the team in general.

"Your defense will be the worst in the league. Your secondary is atrocious and LB's are smoke and mirror type players, it's going to be a long season. Please don't spit the 8-8 season garbage, you have the worst OL and secondary in the NFL, that's a recipe for disaster."

Every team is a Super Bowl contender in June, though. How far each team will finish above or below the 8-8 mark is decided on the field, as one poster points out.

"I think it's ridiculous to predict us to be that bad, but I drank kool-aid last year as a fan in the pre-season and want to see the product on the field before I take issue with a (supposedly) objectionable writer."
