Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Matt Ryan hasn't put up stunning numbers yet in his rookie season, but he isn't entirely to blame. Half of the problem lies in the unsteady hands of his receivers. The receiving crew of Roddy White, Michael Jenkins and Harry Douglas dropped six passes last week in the Falcons' 24-9 loss in Carolina. It continues a trend that has lasted since 2004.

Commentary: Michael Jenkins ranks as the main problem. The former first-round pick has consistently ranked in the top 10 in dropped passes in the NFL, and not much has changed this year.

Nobody is expecting White and Jenkins to be the second coming of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, but there is no excuse to commit so many errors. Their struggles aren't exactly helping running back Michael Turner; after all, the less defenses respect the pass, the more likely Turner is to see eight-man fronts in the upcoming weeks.

Fan Pulse: Members of Falcons forums are having a hard time figuring out exactly how many dropped passes Atlanta has racked up. They do know that the number is pretty high: http://life.atlantafalcons.com/index.php?showtopic=3805604.

Fantasy Football Commentary: In spite of the drops, White -- who has 322 yards, 209 of which came in the last two weeks -- represents a smart play. With Packers cornerback Al Harris out for this weekend's matchup, White will draw Charles Woodson -- who has some injury issues of his own.

Injury Watch:
Wideout Laurent Robinson didn't practice Wednesday because of a knee injury. He is day-to-day and could miss Sunday's game.
