Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank believes imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick deserves a second chance in the NFL. It won't come with the Falcons, though, who have a rising star under center in rookie Matt Ryan. The first-round pick from Boston College already looks like a far better passer than Vick ever was, and he's led surprising Atlanta to a 4-2 record this season.

Blank told reporters that he had spoken with Vick, saying: "He's written me and I've answered him. I certainly wish him Michael well in the future. I believe in second chances. I believe in third chances. That doesn't mean I believe in forever chances. But I do believe he's capable of redemption and learning from his mistakes."

Blank then explained, "We've moved on and we have a franchise quarterback."

There is a definite chance that Vick, who was sent to prison on dogfighting and gambling charges, has learned his lesson. Of course, it's doubtful he ever would have had the government not come after him. Vick's removal from Atlanta may have been hard last season, but it has turned into a great story for the Falcons.

Fan Pulse:
Falcons fans are done talking about Vick. They are, however, pushing for Ryan to win NFL Rookie of the Week after his stellar performance in a win over the Bears: http://life.atlantafalcons.com/index.php?showtopic=3807685.

Fantasy Football Commentary:
Remember when Vick, because of his scrambling ability, was a top five fantasy quarterback? Ryan isn't quite there yet, but he is putting up very impressive numbers. A few more solid games, including an improving rapport with wideout Roddy White, and you may want to consider picking him up off waivers.

Injury Watch:
WR Laurent Robinson returned from a knee injury to practice this week. The Falcons are on a bye, so he should be good to go in Week 8 versus Philadelphia.
