Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Rod Coleman has been arrested after an altercation with police early Friday Morning. The NFL standout was in a car that was stopped for a routine traffic infraction when he became verbally confrontational with officers. He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Among the choice phrases officers are alleging led to Rod Coleman's arrest were the following, "I wish you would touch my [expletive] truck. Do you know who I am? I play for the Falcons."

According to police, Coleman said this when informed his car insurance was expired. He also allegedly requested a white officer, and some point began to simply walk away from the scene and on down the express way.

Rod Coleman spent his first five NFL seasons playing for the Oakland Raiders. He came over to the Atlanta Falcons this past year and posted an impressive 11.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
