On the eve of the Atlanta Falcons' first training camp session today, the team announced that they have come to terms with five of their picks in this past April's NFL Draft. General Manager Rich McKay indicated Atlanta will sign defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux, linebacker Jordan Beck, offensive tackle Frank Omilaye, running back DeAndra Cobb and defensive tackle Darrell Shropshire shortly before the team's first practice today.

Babineaux was the Atlanta Falcons 2nd round selection out of Iowa. The 6-foot-2 286 pound former Hawkeye was a three-year starter at defensive tackle, where he garnered All-Big 10 recognition in 2004. He finished his career there with 131 career tackles and 19 quarterback sacks.

Beck, Atlanta's third selection, completed his career at Cal-Poly as their all-time leader in tackles with 449. The 6-2, 233 pound linebacker was a two-time All-Great West Conference defensive Player of the Year. He also added 2004 Buck Buchanan award to his trophy case, which honors the top defensive player in Division I-AA.

The 310 pound Omilaye was a three-year starter for Tennessee Tech, seeing action at both offensive tackle positions. He was also a first-team All-Ohio Valley selection in his senior season.

Cobb set single-season school records at Michigan State by returning three kickoffs for touchdowns last season. He returned a total of four for TDs in his two seasons for the Spartans, only one shy of the Big 10 record. He previously played for Lancaster Junior College in California.

Shropshire joined the University of South Carolina after two seasons at Kansas Jayhawk Community College. He accumulated 63 tackles and 2 sacks in 23 games for the Gamecocks.

The team remains optimistic they can come to terms with first-round choice, wide receiver Roddy White from Alabama-Birmingham in the very near future.
