The Baltimore Ravens have tendered linebacker Terrell Suggs a one-year deal worth just over $8 million as their franchise player, but Suggs apparently things the amount should be about $800,000 more because he spent more time at defensive end last season.

The franchise amount -- the average of the five highest-paid players at the position in 2007 -- is $8.065 million for linebackers and $8.879 million for ends. Suggs wants a snap-by-snap breakdown to determine which tender he should receive.

Commentary: In the end, the tender probably won't matter as the sides have until July 15 to agree on a long-term deal. Suggs told reporters he wanted to stay in Baltimore anyway and finish his career where it started. General manager Ozzie Newsome also wants to get a long-term deal done, so this should end happily for both sides (if a little expensively for the Ravens).

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
