The Chicago Bears signed defensive end Alex Brown to a two-year contract extension, cut wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad and right tackle Fred Miller and chose not to pay a $5.2 million roster bonus to defensive tackle Darwin Walker.

Commentary: Muhammad is 34 and caught just 40 passes in 2007, but some receiver-starved team probably will bring him in. Miller is 35, and the Bears want to go younger on the line, but Miller will find work, too. Walker was injured a lot last season, but someone will want him as well.

Fantasy Football Impact: With Bernard Berrian a pending free agent, the Bears need to figure out who will be their receivers next season. Of course, they also need to decide on a quarterback; it looks like Rex Grossman and Brian Griese are both out.
