The Houston Texans have cut centers Mike Flanagan and Drew Hodgon, tight end Jeb Putzier and linebacker Shawn Barber. They also are not expected to tender restricted free agent Jerome Mathis after he was arrested for attacking his pregnant girlfriend.

Commentary: Mathis is a talented return man with good speed, but his temper apparently is a real problem and most teams should be quite disturbed by his behavior. Putzier had a couple of decent seasons in Denver, but his two years in Houston were a complete disappointment. Of course, the emergence of Owen Daniels might have had something to do with that.

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
