The Cleveland Browns have re-signed running back Jamal Lewis to a three-year contract reportedly worth $17 million.

Commentary: This is an excellent move for the Browns and Lewis, who rushed for 1,304 yards and nine touchdowns last season -- his first in Cleveland after seven in Baltimore. The Browns have a good, young offensive line, and Lewis runs hard behind it. A three-year deal is perfect for Lewis, who will be 29 next season and probably has just two or three good years left.

Fantasy Football Impact: No one knew how Lewis would do with a new team that had an unproven line, and Lewis slid down a lot of draft boards last summer. This time, he is a sure thing, and he probabaly won't last past the second round of most drafts.
