With a position as important as running back, it’s often difficult to find a late-round steal in fantasy football drafts. Everyone knows the best 10 or 15 backs on a yearly basis, but here’s a look at a few producers who might be available in the later rounds of your draft.

1) Lorenzo Booker

In his rookie campaign with the Dolphins last season, Booker played well toward the second half. Now in Philadelphia, where he's behind Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter, Booker may not appear to be a great option. However, Andy Reid and his staff were highly impressed with Booker's versatility and athleticism during OTAs, and Booker figures to get 10 touches a game. With his speed and agility, any one of those touches could turn out to be a big play. Figure in the fact that Booker will contribute to the return game, and he suddenly seems infinitely more valuable.

2) Jamaal Charles

The burner from Texas is sure to see some snaps for the Chiefs this season. Although Larry Johnson will shoulder the load, Charles is a legitimate threat to get to the end zone on any play and could find substantial yardage as the No. 2 in KC's offense. Worn-down defenses may have a hard time dealing with his fresh legs and explosive running style.

3) T.J. Duckett

Although Duckett has never replicated his success of ’03 and ’04, he seems to be a back best used in a committee system. Now in Seattle and paired with Julius Jones, Duckett should be the go-to ball carrier in goal-line situations and could see similar touchdown numbers as his ’03 campaign, when he scored 11. While he may not rack up major yardage, Duckett could mold himself into the type of player Jerome Bettis became in the last year of his career; in other words, a TD machine who amasses respectable yardage.
