Whoever informed people not to put all their eggs in one basket never had to carry around a bunch of baskets. Any fantasy football owner who's spent his or her Sunday in the trenches trying to keep tabs on as many as eight different NFL games knows how daunting a task it is. Therefore, give your head a break by investing in a strategy that will pay huge dividends when it works and leave you cold and ashamed when it doesn't -- drafting touchdown tandems. Here's a menu of four quarterback/receiver pairings that will have you doubling up every time they connect.

The Lone Star Early Bird Special - Tony Romo & Terrell Owens

Both Romo and T.O. are in the top three at their positions, so you'll have to act quickly if you're gonna make this happen. Owens will probably be drafted in the second round in most leagues, and Romo may still be on the board in the third. Here's what you have to look forward to if you land this tandem: A QB who knows how to find his team's star, a receiver in a contract year who's coming off his best season in the last seven, and a chemistry that Jeff Garcia and Donovan McNabb only wished they had when No. 81 was on their side.

The Roethlis-Burger with a side of Holmes Fries - Ben Roethlisberger & Santonio Holmes

Roethlisberger is coming off his best season yet, and all signs point to Holmes having a breakout year. The pair connected in the end zone eight times last year and twice so far this preseason for the Steelers. Big Ben may still be available in the fourth round, and Holmes could even fall to the early sixth (but don't count on it). Both players are worth grabbing a round early.

The Who Dey Platter, hold the Ocho Cinco - Carson Palmer & TJ Houshmandzadeh

Chad Johnson may be the Bengals' best player, but for the last two seasons, Houshmandzadeh has had more receptions and more touchdowns. This could be the year he finally overshadows Johnson on the field. You'll have to draft Houshmandzadeh first; go for him in the third round. You can snag Palmer in the next round. In fact, if you're feeling gutsy, wait to see if Palmer slips to the fifth before picking him.

The Gang Green Pot Luck Surprise (available late) - Brett Favre & Jerricho Cotchery

If you're the type of owner who likes to take chances and throw caution to the wind, take a shot at this tandem. Favre looked solid in his preseason debut, and it shouldn't take long for him and Cotchery to become a big-time duo. Cotchery caught more than 80 passes in each of his last two seasons, and now that a future Hall of Famer is tossing him the ball, his numbers should rise. The good news is that both players will be on the board in middle and later rounds. Look for Favre to go anywhere between the sixth and eighth rounds, while Cotchery could be a steal in Rounds 9 to 11.
