Fantasy football owners who were savvy enough to grab wide receiver Lance Moore off the waiver wire last week are likely dancing a jig today. That's because the little-known New Orleans Saints wideout had a career game Sunday playing in place of the banged-up David Patten, who himself was filling in for the injured Marques Colston.

Moore came into Week 4 against San Francisco with just 10 receptions for 102 yards, but he matched up well against a porous 49ers pass defense; all said and done, the three-year veteran tallied seven catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints' 31-17 win.

So what's the moral of the story? Simple. It's important to keep a close eye on unheralded skill players who might be given extended playing time because of someone else's injury, especially when said player is going up against a susceptible defense.

Who will be Week 5's unsung waiver-wire hero? Keep a close eye on the injury report and defensive stat lines, and you'll likely find out just in the nick of time.
