Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Chad Pennington has delivered some impressive feats since arriving in South Florida in August. He picked up the offense in roughly a week or two, despite joining the team midway through the preseason. In the regular season, he’s helped secure three victories in seven games despite playing on a team that managed just one win a season ago. What's more, he’s posted passer ratings of over 100 three times. And he's done it with journeyman tight ends and unheralded wide receivers.

All of those accomplishments are impressive, but they pale in comparison to his fantasy football production.

Pennington is averaging roughly 300 passing yards per game over his last three contests to go along with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Further, the former Jet has had only one poor game all season -- a 112-yard stinker on the road against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. Next, Pennington will have the distinct pleasure of squaring off against a Denver Broncos defense that is currently 28th in the NFL against the pass, allowing 240 aerial yards per game to accompany 12 touchdowns and only two INTs.

For the first time since the late ’90s, Miami is offering up a legitimate starting fantasy quarterback option; so, if he’s still available, don’t hesitate to grab Pennington and start him in Week 9.
