Friendly advice for new fantasy football commissioners

These tips are mainly for point-only leagues in Yahoo.

Rule 1:
Stat values have got to be set fairly to attract players. No one is going to stay in your league if you have 1 point per yard assigned to every position. QB's have astronomical yards compared to RB's. Don't do that unless you just want to win. Let’s be honest if you commish, no one has a better chance of winning unless you are an idiot.

Rule 2:
Check your stat value settings before the draft. Have you been a Commish before? Triple check them. Complacency will help you look like a fool. I have been Commishing for 8 years and made QB sacks a +0.5 value. Someone pointed it out and luckily in Yahoo you can fix these things easily.

Rule 3:
Be available, especially if you choose Commish approves trades. This is not your league. You only administer the thing. It is the right thing to do to have more fun.
