The Houston Texans might be 0-3, but starting quarterback David Carr has been quite the pleasant surprise thus far. The five-year pro boasts the league's top passer rating (113.6), having thrown six touchdowns to just one interception.

Carr has also been a pleasant surprise in fantasy football circles, having scored 16, 25 and 16 points in the first three weeks of the season, and a lot of his early success can be attributed to two factors:

1) The arrival of veteran wide receiver Eric Moulds
2) The fact that the Texans are typically down by a lot and get an opportunity to play catch-up, throwing the football a lot more than they run it.

Regardless of the reasons, Carr seems to be coming into his own and could be a fantasy gem for weeks to come. Consider starting him in Week 4. He's at home and facing a questionable Miami Dolphins secondary that gave up three touchdowns in Week 1 to Steelers backup Charlie Batch. Miami's secondary has continued to show signs of weakness in recent weeks, so Carr could be primed for a fourth straight big game.
