Smiley is considering season-ending surgery himself.

Commentary: Jennings has been plagued by injuries ever since signing with the 49ers in 2005. He will be replaced by Adam Snyder, who has gotten plenty of experience filling in for Jennings. Smiley will be replaced by David Baas, who had been sharing time with Smiley anyway.

Fantasy Football Impact: If anything, this might engender some consistency along a line that has not had much this season.
