Kansas City running back Larry Johnson most likely will not play this week against Denver, but his status beyond that is undetermined, coach Herm Edwards said. Priest Holmes is expected to start, with rookie Kolby Smith backing him up.

Commentary: A Denver station reported that Johnson has a broken foot, but Edwards said the team did not yet know the extent of the injury.

Fantasy Football Impact: It's hard to know how Holmes will do with an expanded role. He has carried the ball seven times for 17 yards in two games since returning from a two-year absence.
