Samari Rolle's not talking. The coaches aren't talking. The doctors aren't talking. Even the beat writers who cover the Baltimore Ravens aren't talking.

Something is very wrong with Rolle, the Ravens' veteran cornerback, but it remains a mystery. What isn't a mystery is whether Rolle will be playing in Sunday's home game with Cincinnati -- he won't.

What is sidelining the former Pro Bowler (2000) isn't an injury, which would make it public knowledge, but an illness. It cost Rolle three games earlier this season, but he returned to action two weeks ago before suffering a relapse this week in practice.

Commentary: Of course, being mysterious about Rolle's illness just whets the appetites of the curious. One Ravens blog went so far as to quote "sources on the Ravens' medical team" that the Florida State product's career may be over.

Fantasy Impact: Corey Ivey, Rolle's replacement, has logged significant playing time this season. Still, Rolle is a special player when he's healthy.
