When he’s healthy, Byron will bump Joey in Atlanta

Quarterback Byron Leftwich will start as soon as he is able, replacing Joey Harrington for the Atlanta Falcons, coach Bobby Petrino said. The coach said Harrington was starting right now only because Leftwich has been hobbled by a sprained ankle that required surgery. Leftwich's status for this week, however, was still undetermined Wednesday.

Commentary: It doesn't really matter who starts for the Falcons, who have fallen in the abyss despite two straight wins. They have quickly become one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the league, rivaling Oakland.

Fantasy Football Impact: Because the Falcons have no dependable receivers, their quarterbacks are mostly worthless in fantasy land.
