Derrick Ward's career-best day came with a big price. While rushing for 154 yards against Chicago, the New York Giants' leading rusher suffered a broken left leg and will be out indefinitely.

Commentary: It has been a hard-luck, injury-inundated season for the Giants' backs. Ward had missed the past four games with ankle and groin injuries, and Brandon Jacobs -- the original starter -- has missed five games with knee and hamstring injuries. If his hamstring is better, he will start this week against Philadelphia. Otherwise, Reuben Droughns probably will be the guy.

Fantasy Football Impact: The Giants have been a good running team this season, with Jacobs putting up three 100-yard games and Ward rushing for a team-high 602 yards. So either Jacobs or Droughns should do well.
