Tampa Bay quarterback Jeff Garcia might be able to play this week, and coach Jon Gruden said the 37-year-old definitely will return as the starter once his bruised back is better. Garcia was hurt two weeks ago against Washington, and Luke McCown replaced him this past Sunday and led the Bucs to a key 27-23 win over New Orleans.

Commentary: The Bucs don't necessarily need Garcia for the next few games, especially since they are against Houston, Atlanta, San Francisco and Carolina. McCown could lead them to wins against all of those teams. But the Bucs will need Garcia if they plan to do any damage in the playoffs.

Fantasy Football Impact: McCown had a wonderful game against the Saints, throwing for a career-best 313 yards and two touchdowns while completing an amazing 29 of 37 passes. Of course, that was against the Saints.
