Vikings’ DE suspended four games by NFL

Minnesota defensive end Ray Edwards will miss the next four games on an NFL-mandated suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Erasmus James, now back after a long recovery from knee surgery, will start in his place. James returned to the lineup last Sunday against Detroit.

Commentary: Edwards had started in James' place for most of the season, notching five sacks and scoring on a fumble return against Detroit in Week 2.
