Chris Redman as the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons? Sure, why not?

Although he was essentially out of football from 2003-06, the former Baltimore Ravens starter -- who played at Louisville when Atlanta coach Bobby Petrino was the offensive coordinator -- had an audition of sorts in relief of Joey Harrington last Sunday. The result wasn't exactly Tom Brady-like, but Redman did connect on 16 of 24 passes with a touchdown and an interception.

And when your team is 3-9, how can it hurt to something new? At least the suffering Falcon fans will have someone new to boo.

Commentary: Redman himself put it best: "I did it for one quarter. Now I've got to show I can do it for four quarters."

Fantasy Football Impact: If you're starting any of the Falcon quarterbacks on your team, your season is probably over by now, anyway.
