The Minnesota Vikings' defensive line took another hit Friday when end Erasmus James was put on injured reserve again because he needs another surgery on the left ACL that tore last season. James' knee was re-injured against Detroit on Sunday. The Vikings are very thin at the position because Ray Edwards, who started the first 11 games, has been suspended for violating the NFL's steroids policy. Youngsters Brian Robison and Jayme Mitchell will step in for James and Edwards against San Francisco.

Commentary: The Vikings are in the playoff hunt at 6-6, so they can't afford these kinds of personnel losses.

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
