Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed his second straight practice on Thursday, being held out with a sore shoulder while Charlie Batch ran the first-string offense.

Commentary: The Jacksonsville blogs were all over this Thursday, because Roethlisberger was noticeably ineffective late in the Steelers' loss to New England last week and spent some time huddled with the team doctor on the sidelines. With the Jaguars playing the Steelers this week, speculation was rampant.

Fantasy Impact: Pittsburgh has a two-game cushion (including the tiebreaker) on Cleveland in the AFC North and might decide to rest Roethlisberger this week if the shoulder doesn't get better. However, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said, "I don't want to make a bigger thing out of this than it is."
