Brian Billick reportedly will return as coach of the Baltimore Ravens in 2008 despite a seven-game losing skid that has dropped them out of the playoff picture. Billick led the Ravens to a 13-3 record in 2006, but injuries have played a major role in their 4-9 record this season. Billick is under contract through 2010, and a source said owner Steve Bisciotti told Billick he would return in 2008.

Commentary: It is quite astounding that -- in nine years -- Billick has been unable to put together a decent offense to go with the Ravens' excellent defense. The defense has ranked in the top six eight times, including this year, while the offense has never been higher than 14th and has usually been in the 20s (25th this year). And that is why Billick should be let go.

Fantasy Football Impact: Baltimore players will not have much fantasy value as long as Billick is the coach. Willis McGahee has had a good season, with 1,093 yards and seven touchdowns. But the passing game, as usual, has been pretty pathetic, with Derrick Mason's 872 yards and three touchdowns leading all receivers.
