Despite sprained knee, Rivers revs up for Sunday

It looks like Philip Rivers will start at quarterback for San Diego when the Chargers play the Detroit Lions this weekend. Rivers suffered a sprained left knee against Tennessee last Sunday and did not practice Wednesday. But he took half the snaps Thursday, and he and coach Norv Turner both seemed optimistic that Rivers would play.

Commentary: With a number of guys banged up, the Chargers are ripe for an upset here.

Fantasy Football Impact: It should be the LaDainian Tomlinson Show on Sunday, even though fullback Lorenzo Neal is out.
