Is New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton playing hide and seek with Reggie Bush to confuse the Philadelphia Eagles?

Maybe. Or maybe the team doctors can't really be sure at this point if the Saints' running back's torn posterior cruciate ligament (left knee) will allow him to play against the Eagles at home this Sunday.

Bush practiced in a limited way Wednesday, and he was held out Thursday. The Saints have resisted the temptation to shut him down for the season. You can draw your own conclusions.

Commentary: "Every game from here on out is a playoff game," said Bush, explaining why he was still in uniform two weeks after a fairly major knee injury.

Of course, a loss to the Eagles may end the Saints' playoff hopes. The question is: Is it worth risking more serious injury to one of the team's franchise players to insert Bush for a few plays?

Fantasy Football Impact: If you're an Aaron Stecker owner, don't worry -- your guy should still get a lot of work. Bush's knee probably will preclude his appearing for more than a handful of plays.
