Green Bay, already assured of a first-round bye, had the luxury of resting players in Week 17, and it opted to sit a few key starters in Sunday's 34-13 victory over Detroit. Wide receivers Donald Driver and Greg Jennings didn't play, nor did tight end Donald Lee, cornerback Charles Woodson, defensive tackle Ryan Pickett and defensive end Aaron Kampman.

Quarterback and Packers icon Brett Favre started, tossed two touchdowns by the beginning of the second quarter, then gave way to veteran Craig Nall.

Commentary: Favre set the NFL record for consecutive games played earlier this season, and coach Mike McCarthy would not have the gall (or maybe not even the power) to end such a streak. Regardless, Favre got on a roll early and righted a Green Bay team that lost to Chicago last week. The Packers will head into the playoffs with momentum.

Fantasy Football Impact: Those owners who had the courage to start Favre despite knowing he would sit most of the game were justly rewarded.
