Steelers will tackle playoffs using No. 3 LT

Pittsburgh left tackle Max Starks will miss the playoffs with a left knee injury suffered against Baltimore last weekend. Starks, who was starting in place of injured tackle Marvel Smith, will be replaced by Trai Essex. The Steelers also will be without special-teams captain Clint Kriewaldt (neck).

Commentary: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will probably have to run for his life against Jacksonville in the playoff game Saturday. The Jaguars sacked him five times in their 29-22 win over the Steelers at Heinz Field last month.

Fantasy Football Impact: None for next season, but it obviously might impact Roethlisberger's effectiveness for any playoff fantasy leagues.
