After 13 years of chasing quarterbacks, Warren Sapp is retiring. The 35-year-old defensive tackle, who played the past four seasons with the Oakland Raiders, announced the end of his career on his Web site, www.qbkilla.com, by saying: "I'M DONE!" He already had told coaches, teammates and Raiders owner Al Davis.

Commentary: Sapp became one of the best defenders in the league after he was drafted by Tony Dungy's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He went to seven Pro Bowls and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 1999, when he had 13 sacks (he followed that with 17 sacks in 2000). He finished with 96.5 sacks, including 20 with the Raiders. While with Tampa, Sapp was one of the NFL's pre-eminent characters -- a trash-talking, opinionated ball of fury who used his speed to overcome his relative lack of size (6-2, 200) inside. Many disliked him for his antics and attitude, but he has to be considered a surefire Hall of Famer.

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
