With Baltimore hot for their offensive coordinator, the Cleveland Browns gave Rob Chudzinski a two-year contract extension through 2011 in hopes of building on the great progress their offense made this season. After finishing 31st in offense in 2006, the Browns re-hired Chudzinski, who had been tight-ends coach in 2004, and he turned them into a top-10 unit that averaged 25.1 points per game.

Commentary: The Browns' offense shocked everyone this season, becoming the only team with a 1,000-yard rusher (Jamal Lewis) and two 1,000-yard receivers (Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards). Chudzinski was a big reason, but perhaps the greatest reason was the vast improvement of the offensive line. If the Browns can add a few defenders, they could be very dangerous in 2008.

Fantasy Football Impact: Keeping Chudzinski is good news for not only the Browns, but fantasy owners everywhere, because it means they should be at least as good next year.
