The Atlanta Falcons have hired Tom Dimitroff to be their new general manager, replacing Rich McKay, who had the title taken away after the Falcons' season ended. Dimitroff, New England's director of college scouting for the past five years, will be in charge of Atlanta's football operations and report to McKay, who retained his title of president. Dimitroff also will have a big say in whom the team hires as coach.

Commentary: Dimitroff has the experience and pedigree. He has been in the NFL for 18 years -- including six with the Pats and nine as a scout with the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns. And coming from New England, he knows the personnel formula for success.

Fantasy Football Impact: Dimitroff and his new coach will need to decide on a quarterback, along with most of the other positions. Receiver Roddy White was the only fantasy-worthy player in Atlanta this season, but with a new offense on the way, nothing is set yet. At the least, we can say this: Do not draft any Falcons early.
